Birma, pojedyncze stawy u stóp gór w pobliżu miasta Hopong, 30 km na wschód od Taunggyi. Holotyp:
ZRC 50706

Nowe lokalizacje (2008) wokół miasta Hopong w stawach i strumieniach obok wiosek Lwe Paw, Naung Khone,
Loi-un, Hug-park, Loi-sin i Pong-low.

Etymologia:

margaritatus oznacza ozdobiona perłami, odnosząc się do perłowych plamy na bokach ciała.

Bardzo często błędnie określana jako razbora.

Maks. wielkość: 25mm
